Sasha Patterson is program coordinator for the NEW Leadership

Sasha came to work at CAWP in August of 1999. She received her B.A.
in political science from Northwestern University and her M.A. from Rutgers in 
1995. She is presently a Ph.D. candidate in the political science department 
at Rutgers, focusing on women and politics and public law. 
Sasha has written and presented a number of conference papers on the 
issue of sexual harassment, and is in the process completing her dissertation 
about women's experience with sexual harassment law.

Debbie also directs Center's work with women state legislators and organizations 
of women public officials. She earned her B.A. in political science from SUNY
Binghamton and her M.A. in political science at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. 
Debbie joined CAWP's staff in 1981. She is frequently called upon by the media
for information and comment, and she speaks to a variety of audiences in 
New Jersey and around the country on topics related to women's political
participation.
